Kulau Ave. – Radio Drama Series

2016
Broadcast Territory: Papua New Guinea
Partner:  PVM Advertising
Client: International Organization for Migration & PNG Immigration and Citizenship Service Authority for Broadcast in Papua New Guinea

Working with Port Moresby based PVM Advertising, the PIOTP team worked as writing consultants on a 20-part radio drama serial funded by the International Organization for Migration, and the PNG Immigration and Citizenship Service Authority for broadcast in Papua New Guinea.

Set in a typical, suburban street in Port Moresby, the show was part of a wider IOM campaign that sought to educate both refugees and the wider community around government and community initiatives to integrate refugees into Papua New Guinea. With a focus on both West Papuan and Middle Eastern refugees, the serial aimed to raise awareness around the refugee experience, create an understanding of PNG laws, social institutions and customs, and promote recognition of leadership structures.
