In Love & Ashes follows the story of 28-year-old Emeka as he travels from his comfortable life in Lagos to the North East of Nigeria to inspect an IDP Camp being funded by his NGO employer. As he immerses himself in the world around him he comes face to face with the desperate souls displaced by the Boko Haram insurgency and the heroic individuals responding to the crisis.

While challenging extremist ideas and narratives, this OTI funded, eight-part television series also highlights northeast issues in a manner that appeals to a wider Nigerian audience, and creates a sense of national unity around their solution.

As Consultants with Creative Associates International, Muffy and Trudi led the writing and production of the show. They also worked with a local agency to develop and implement an extensive, strategic social media campaign to promote the series and the themes of the show.
